John Gruber on why DF will never have comments. (Sorry, not pinoy related, but moronic commenters really gets my goat.)

I noticed that every Pinoy website (even major ones) with comments turned on are infested with trolls and cheesy comments. Even the major websites are becoming a cesspool of inanity in the comments section. I say turn the comments off because they do not add anything valuable to the discussion. I propose that all websites go back to the email commenting system (similar to the feedback page found at the back of comic books) where spam and trolling can easily be filtered. Better yet, why not just moderate the damn comments? That’s why I love tumblr.
